Hello All! In just a short few days, I will be headed to the lovely state of Texas for a conference. I’ve never been to Texas so I am quite excited. I work in retail as a store manager and every year the company that I work for has a conference in a nice, warm place (past conferences have been in California and Florida) and it’s a great work experience that I am truly grateful I get to attend.
I thought I would share today the beauty products that I intend to take with me when I go. Enjoy!
Let’s start with the first row of products!
I am taking just your basic makeup removing wipes from Equate. I do have the Magic Makeup Eraser but I don’t want to travel with it. These wipes are great because you actually get two packs of 60 wipes for about 5 bucks. They don’t irritate my skin, and they do not have any perfume like smells.
Next, I am taking a dry shampoo that I got in a BoxyCharm or ipsy bag. I’m not sure if I’ll use it but I’d rather be safe than sorry.
I am taking two of the travel size shampoo and conditioner from Garnier. Easier than trying to find two small containers to pour the current shampoo/conditioner I am using into that; and also much nicer than the combo shampoo/conditioner bottles that they provide at hotels.
Finally, I taking my face wash/cleanser from Clean and Clear. This product does not break out my sensitive skin and is a staple in albeit lack of a skincare routine.
For what I’m putting on my face first in terms of makeup –
I have the Nip + Fab Plumping Serum which I am finishing up the sample I received in an ipsy bag (I’ve already bought a full size). Again, it does not irritate my skin and I use this about every other day before I apply my makeup.
I am bringing along two face primers; one is the Maybelline Master Prime for Blur and Redness control, a true favourite of mine. The other is the Rimmel London Stay Matte primer which I also received in an ipsy bag. I use this primer in conjunction with the Covergirl Healthy Elixir foundation which I am bringing too as I prefer a more matte finish and this pairing really works well together.
I am also bringing a BB cream from Maybelline incase I want more of a lighter coverage day. I was thinking of bringing the UD All Nighter foundation but I think that might be too heavy for me in the Texas heat.
Finally, I’ve been testing out the Essence setting sprays (both of them) but I am only bringing along the matte one as I have more oily skin and I’m hoping the Texas heat can also be the true test on whether this is a good setting spray or not.
I am taking along two Tarte blushes – the shades Adventurous and Paaaaarty. Both of these blushes I love and I am trying to finish up Adventurous before the end of 2018.
I can’t go anywhere without my Butter Bronzer. I am very close to finishing this product up but I love it so much. The clasp to close it is broken so I’m planning on taping it down so it doesn’t break in travel.
I am bringing along a recently purchased Rimmel London Stay Matte powder in Translucent. I’m currently using the last of my other one which is pretty much broken pieces by now, so I knew I needed to repurchase before leaving for Texas.
For highlighter, I’m bringing along the ever-trusty Mary Louminizer as well as the new to my collection Tarteist Pro Glow liquid highlighter which we received in last month’s BoxyCharm. I wanted a pearly highlighter but also wanted to bring along a golden once just in case.
Taking just two eyeshadow palettes and deciding what to bring was hard. If I could I would bring the Tarte Tarteist Pro Palette but the palette itself is just not travel friendly.
I’ve been recently neglecting the ColourPop Yes Please palette in favour of the Tarteist Pro, but the sunshiny colours I think will work well for the Texas heat! So summery! I’m also taking my UD Naked 3 palette because I’ve been really lacking on using it for my Project Pan. The matte shades in the palette are perfect for an easy every day eye though.
For concealer I am taking the Covergirl Ready Set Gorgeous concealer (it’s almost finished so I want to use it up), as well as the NYX HD concealer. I’ve been testing it out and so far I really like it.
I finally repurchased my Essence Lash Princess mascara just so I could bring it for this trip. I haven’t even opened this one yet but it’s my favourite!
I use a brown powder to fill in my eyebrows but for eyebrow gel I’ve really been loving The BrowGal gel we received in last month’s BoxyCharm. I like how tiny the wand is.
I haven’t decided on lip products to take with me yet. I might bring just a lipchap, a lipgloss and one nude liquid lipstick but I have to look through my collection and see.
I hope you enjoyed this post! I am going on a vacation with my family in July so I might do another post then for you to see what I end up taking with me on that trip!
Also good thing I made this post because I just remembered I haven’t packed sunscreen yet! 🙂
