Go-To Pasta Recipe | Shrimp and Zoodles

Hi guys! Today I’m bringing you one of my favourite new healthier recipes that I love. I have always wanted to try zucchini noodles and I received a Veggie Bullet for Christmas from my parents which spiralizes and slices, so making the so-called zoodles would be much easier to achieve!

Let’s get started!

First, I defrost the shrimp. This was when I was only making a portion for myself, but I double the amount when I’m making dinner for both my sister and I. When they are thaw, I remove the tails and put them in a pan on the stove. I use margarine to grease my pan because I find it less oily than actual olive oil.

Next, I break out the Veggie Bullet. Even with all the different components that come with it, it is really simple to use. When making one portion, I use two zucchini but I would double that for my sister and I. The spiralizer can be finicky, but it works well.

I like to add extra veggies in to the pasta for more nutrients and flavour. I usually add broccoli and some sort of peppers. Once the shrimp are close to being done, I’ll add in these veggies and some garlic for flavour.

I add in the zoodles and keep mixing it around for about 5 to 7 minutes depending on how hard or how soft I want the zucchini noodles to be. I add in two teaspoons of pesto for the sauce and a little bit more margarine as well.

And here is the finished product! It is delicious and quite filling!

I’m not a fan of traditional pasta so this is a great addition to my love of food haha!
